OSRS Group – Cyber Log Analytic Processor (CLAP)

The Cyber Log Analytic Processor or CLAP was originally developed at the University of Virginia for the Cyber Hunting at Scale (CHASE) DARPA project.

CLAP is a streaming analytic platform that includes a central service (the NEXUS) to allow for community-based analytic sharing.

The CLAP Concept

CLAP operates as a directed acyclic graph (DAG) of processing nodes that handle log entries. The CLAP "pipeline" allows log entries to be enriched and passed to a collection of analytics, specifically targeting AI processors.

The AI processors each have a well-known "type" and "shape", which enables the model parameters to be exchanged across organizations via the NEXUS. This model allows for online, federated learning of model parameters within a hierarchical set of communities.
