OSRS Group – Generic Risk Analysis Model and Infrastrucure (GRAMI)

GRAMI is OSRS Group's general risk analysis model infrastructure, providing a modular framework for integrating and executing multi-domain risk models with high-performance compute.

What Does it Do?

GRAMI is an asset-based, geospatial risk assessment and management platform. GRAMI provides multiple key mechanisms to model risk:

  • Assets: Model all of your organizations assets, geospatially where they exist, or logically within another geospatial asset.
  • Threats and Hazards: Model all types of threats (human) and hazards (environment) as geospatial datasets via GLOBE.
  • Interdependencies: Model the relationship between your assets, with semantics, such as where a power plant receives fuel.
  • Mitigations: Model mitigations applied to assets, with their level of mitigation for each type of threat or hazard.
  • Missions: Model your "missions", which are the goals of the organization to accomplish or prevent. These are the purpose of the assets. Connect your missions to the assets required to complete them.

How Does it Work?

Each piece of data can be managed by the people that know that data. An asset owner may only have details about a small subset of the overall environment. Leverage the people you have to enter the data they know.

Assess Risk, Assess Effectiveness of Mitigations, Find the Points of Failure.

  • GRAMI models the assets as a big graph.
  • Spatial locations of assets drive geospatial threat exposure.
  • Mitigations can reduce impacts from threats.
  • Missions depend on assets, asset outages impact missions.
  • The cost of a mission failure is a key driver of mitigation decisions, we strive for "operational readiness".
